The Four Ps of Marketing

Even if you didn’t take marketing in college, it’s a good idea to familiarize yourself with the 4 Ps. Going through the exercise of applying the 4 Ps of Marketing to your practice can help you get a solid understanding of your practice and how you can effectively reach prospective patients.

  1. Product. What do you sell? Healthcare services, of course, but get more in-depth than that. What modalities do you offer? What makes your product unique and better than your competition?
  2. Price. How much do you charge for your services? What does that say about your “brand” and how your patients perceive you and your practice? Think about the lowest price you would consider and the highest price you think your patients would be willing to pay. What’s the competition charging for the same or similar services?
