Determining Average Sales

Step 1—Determine Revenue

Here’s one fairly simple way to determine your monthly charges.

Hypothetical: Let’s say you will be open 35 hours a week and you feel you can see three patients an hour. That is 105 patients a week. At an average of approximately $100 for each patient (this is an example number), you could estimate $10,500 per week.

Reality: Of course, you may not see three patients every hour you are open, so you will need to use a lower figure. If you see two patients an hour, you will have $7,000 a week in sales. The $100 average per-patient fee also does not take into account new patients, which would be higher. Therefore, somewhere between $7,000 and $10,500 would be a realistic sales figure in this scenario.
